I was born on December 5th 1985. As my Mum would say, I was a bit weird from the start – not that I knew that at the time. Then as I was growing up I became even stranger, as in eccentric, unconventional and even a bit nuts. I would take unnecessary risks like jumping off things from great heights and even leaping out of my wheelchair! Nowadays I have become a bit more sensible because You’re never the same age twice.
At eighteen, I became a student at The Orpheus Centre, in Godstone, Surrey an independent college for young disabled performers where I acted, sang and wrote songs. When my bursaries ran out, I rented a flat there and by that time I needed more personal care. This meant I could no longer take part in sessions. But I couldn’t just do nothing all day and desperately needed something to stimulate my crazy mind. So I decided to take up writing. The result was that over the next few years first at Orpheus and continuing on in my new home in nearby South Nutfield, I have written three books of monologues and a crime story. Another reason for the decision to write monologues, which are, in a way are a roundabout way of telling my life story was because I wanted people to know me through my wacky sense of humour, the way I think and do things in case in the future I am no longer able to talk.

Whilst at the Orpheus  Centre I participated in many varied musical and acting performances. I wrote a song called Lucky Me which you can click on (opposite) if you wish to listento and view the performance... enjoy!!
